Random Questions - An Introduction & Beginning

Delenne's picture

So I figured that I needed more content in my journal, but didn't really care to start regularly posting more in my journal about my daily life because I'm fairly certain that the vast majority of the people who skim my entries don't care a bit about my entries. Instead, I am going to start posting my answers to various sets of question like those that are/used to be found on sites like fridayfive.org. As you can see, today is Sunday, but due to the way my work schedule works, you won't likely see my answers actually on a Friday. I'm putting this under the quiz category on electeaparty.net because it's questions, but it's not like the other quizzes that initially created this category. Also, though I suspect I will be the only person doing this, I would still be interested in seeing any answers posted by other interested users.

So to start with ...

1. What web browser do you use? - I use Firefox as much as I can, though occasionally at work I am forced to use Internet Explorer

  1. What web browser do you use? - I pretty-much just use Firefox, because I rely on the extensions. One extension I use at work is IE tab, so I can render a page using the IE engine in Firefox if I have to.
  2. What email client do you use? - At home, Apple Mail. At work I use Lotus Notes for my work email and Thunderbird Portable for my personal email.
  3. What type of Internet connection do you have at home? - Telus high-speed enchanced
  4. What kinda of computer do you have? - A 17" Apple iMac (Intel_ and a 12" Apple PowerBook G4. We also have a 400mhz Intel PC running FreeNAS for hosting our media files.
  5. When did you first get 'online'? - Same time as Delenne. We were on a BBS called MacRemote that had a tenuous connection to some amorphous entity called "the internet." Later on we dumped MacRemote, and got on the internet proper via a text terminal client and free access offered through the Calgary Public Library. Later on it was NCSA Mosaic and Cadvision, and it carried on from there...
