I'm writing a book. I've got the page numbers done, so now I just have to fill in the rest.

INTRODUCTION
Lady Madonna is a novel I started to write for an Astronomy project in college. It is impossible to hack out a book in a week or two, and it soon became clear that this tale is just too cool to be limited to short-story form. So instead, to meet my college deadlines, I opted to write a few chapters at the beginning and end of the book, and give a rough summary in the middle. This way, at least the main parts of the story were told, and my professor was not left with one of those dratted "to be continued" stories.
She didn't have time to read the whole thing anyway. But she liked what she saw...
"So where are the final chapters?" you say. Well, I'm not going to give them to you. That would spoil the ending. So ppththptpt!
What, you say you need a summary? Ok, here goes. Earth. Sometime in the future - putting dates on sci-fi stuff is just BEGGING for ridicule. We've discovered a planet not far away, astronomically speaking, which just MAY be habitable. So a team of scientists and engineers are building a ship, and they're gonna go for it. Complications evolve concerning funding and choice in passengers, and the project is running into trouble. Just when things are getting back on track, disaster happens and it's a race to the finish...
That's it. Enjoy.
